INDIGOSKIN FALL/WINTER 2015 “คราม” (Indigo)

“คราม” (Indigo) คือแนวคิดสำหรับ Collection Fall/Winter ของ Indigoskin ในปี 2015 ซึ่งเป็นการนำแรงบันดาลใจจากสายน้ำ หยดฝน และสเน่ห์ของการย้อมสีคราม การเคลื่อนไหวของคลื่นน้ำในทะเลแสดงถึงความอิสระ และบางครั้งก็หมายถึงความสงบนิ่งในเวลาเดียวกัน ภาพของหยดน้ำฝนที่ตกลงมากระทบบ่อน้ำ ความต่อเนื่องของวงน้ำ คือสเน่ห์ที่ไม่มีวันสิ้นสุด ซึ่งแนวคิดนี้ได้ถูกนำไปพัฒนาไปเป็นลาย Pattern พิเศษสำหรับ Collection นี้อีกด้วยซึ่งลายใหม่นั้นจะมีอยู่ด้วยกันสองแบบสองแบบดังนี้

ลายหยดน้ำ (Drop)

เป็นลายที่คิดขึ้นได้ในตอนที่กำลังนั่งออกแบบไอเดียของ collection คราม ในร้านกาแฟแห่งหนึ่ง โดยในตอนนั้นกำลังคิดว่า อยากจะได้ลาย pattern ที่มีความเป็นสากลหน่อย ไม่ได้มีความเป็นไทยชัดเจนมากแบบลายบ่อบัว หรือลายกนกที่เคยทำมา และได้คิดว่าอยากจะทำลายออกมาเป็นลักษณะคล้ายรังผึ้ง ซึ่งในระหว่างช่วงที่กำลังนั่งคิดอยู่นั้น ก็ได้มีฝนเทลงมาภายนอกร้านกาแฟที่ผมกำลังนั่งทำงานอยู่ ประจวบเหมาะกับที่ผมได้เหลือบมองไปที่บ่อน้ำซึ่งวางตัวอยู่ข้างร้านกาแฟ ทำให้ได้เห็นหยดน้ำฝนที่ตกลงในบ่ออย่างต่อเนื่อง เกิดเป็นวงน้ำเล็กๆต่อกันแบบไม่สิ้นสุด ซึ่งหยดน้ำเหล่านี้ดูมีสเน่ห์เป็นอย่างมาก ทำให้เกิดไอเดียว่า อยากจะนำฟอร์มของหยดน้ำเหล่านี้มาผสมผสานกับรังผึ้งให้ออกมาเป็นลาย pattern จึงได้ทำการสเก็ตและนำไปทำงานเพิ่มเติมกับคนเขียนลาย จนได้ออกมาเป็นลายหยดน้ำที่ใช้กับ collection คราม

ลายคลื่น (Wave)

เป็นลายที่มีไอเดียต่อยอดมาจากลายบ่อบัว ซึ่งเป็นลายเอกลักษณ์ประจำแบรนด์ Indigoskin มาอย่างยาวนาน แต่คราวนี้มีไอเดียที่อยากจะทำลายที่มีความทันสมัย และดูอ่อนช้อยมากกว่าเดิม อีกทั้งยังแฝงกลิ่นอายความเป็นสากลของลายคลื่นของญี่ปุ่นด้วย จึงได้นำเอาไอเดียของภาพเขียนลายน้ำโบราณ มาผสมผสานกับลายกนกที่ใช้เป็น logo ของ Indigoskin จึงเกิดเป็นลาย pattern คลื่นน้ำแบบใหม่ ทีมีกลิ่นอายของลายไทยแบบบ่อบัวแต่มีความร่วมสมัยมากขึ้น

ลายทั้งสองนี้ จะถูกนำมาใช้ครั้งแรกกับ Collection “คราม” ทั้งในรูปแบบเทคนิคการ Discharge สีออกจากผ้าที่ย้อมอินดิโก้ ซึ่งเป็นเทคนิคขึ้นสูง และหาได้ยาก รวมถึงการพิมพ์ลงบนเนื้อผ้าอีกด้วย

ขณะนี้เสื้อผ้าชิ้นต่างๆจาก INDIGOSKIN FALL/WINTER 2015 “คราม” (Indigo) ได้เริ่มวางจำหน่ายแล้ว เร็วๆนี้สามารถติดตามชม Lookbook ได้ครับ

INDIGOSKIN FALL/WINTER 2015 “Indigo”

 

“Indigo” is the fundemental concept for the Indigoskin Fall/Winter Collection 2015. Inspirations for this collection are drawn from waves, raindrops and the art of indigo-dyeing process. The movement of waves in the ocean sometime portrays freedom while other time reflects calmness. The raindrops falling into a pond creating an ongoing ripple effects represent the never-ending beauty of water movement. These two inspirational elements were interwoven into the designs of two new patterns Drop and Wave.

 

Drop

This pattern was developed while I was sitting at a coffee shop working on ideas for the new Indigo Collection. I wanted to create a pattern that is more universal and neutral, something that is not too traditionally Thai like the Lotus and Kanok patterns. While sitting there, it started raining and there I noticed a small pond just out the window. Watching the raindrops falling into the water making waves of ripple effects, an idea of a pattern sparked in my mind and into a sketch, that later becomes the Drop pattern for this collection.

 

Wave is an idea evolved from the Indigoskin Lotus Pond pattern. This time I wanted a more contemporary design that is also subtle. With an inspiration from the Japanese seamless wave pattern, I combined the ancient drawing of waves with IS Kanok logo. This pattern still maintains the spirit of the traditional lotus pond, but with a more contemporary touch.

 

Drop and Wave patterns can be seen in our “Indigo” Collection through a highly specialized discharge technique and fabric printing methods.
