Momotaro x Indigoskin Lot 3

Back again with our Collaboration Project: Momotaro X Indigoskin Lot 3

This collection is inspired by the story of Momotaro, an old tale that has been passed down from generation to generation in Okayama, Japan. The tale is also the origin of Momotaro Jeans.

Momotaro is a story of a little boy who came out of a giant peach that was found floating down a river by an old couple. The couple then named the boy Momotaro, which translates to peach boy. (Momo: peach and taro: eldest son in the family)

In this collection, we have brought together Indigoskin Lotus pattern and Momotaro Peach to create a unified and unique design that represents the collaboration between Thai brand and Japanese brand.

ของ Momotaro X Indigoskin
การออกแบบในครั้งนี้ ได้แรงบันดาลใจมาจากนิทานเรื่อง “โมโมทาโร่”
ซึ่งเป็นนิทานพื้นเมืองของจังหวัด “โอกายาม่า” ประเทศญี่ปุ่น และเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของแบรนด์ Momotaro Jeans นั่นเอง
โดยในนิทานได้เล่าเรื่องของลูกท้อขนาดยักษ์ ซึ่งลอยมาตามแม่น้ำแห่งหนึ่ง และมีสองตายายเก็บมาได้ เมื่อผ่าลูกท้อออกมา จึงได้เห็นว่ามีเด็กอยู่ในนั้น ตายายจึงได้เก็บเด็กคนนั้นมาเลี้ยง และได้ตั้งชื่อเด็กคนนั้นว่า “โมโมทาโร่” (โมโมะ แปลว่าลูกท้อ, โมโมทาโร่จึงหมายความว่า “เด็กชายลูกท้อ”)
เราจึงได้เอาไอเดียภาพเขียนลายบ่อบัวของ Indigoskin ซึ่งเป็นตัวแทนของแม่น้ำ มาผสมกับลูกท้อจากแบรนด์ Momotaro Jeans ซึ่งหมายถึงการร่วมมือกันอีกครั้งระหว่างแบรนด์ไทยกับญี่ปุ่น
จึงได้เป็นลายพิเศษขึ้นมาใช้สำหรับ Project ในครั้งนี้

ลายพิเศษซึ่งเป็นการผสานเอกลักษณ์ของทั้งสองแบรนด์เข้าด้วยกัน

 

We incorporated two types of denim in Momotaro X Indigoskin Lot 3. The jeans are made of Exclusive 18oz Zimbabwe Cotton, while back yoke and coin pocket are made of Exclusive 15.7oz American Cotton X Zimbabwe Cotton.

Indigo Sashiko Fabric pocket lining
The pocket lining is made of an indigo-dyed cotton fabric decorated by Sashiko stitching, which is an ancient Japanese decorative stitching technique.

ผ้าในกระเป๋าจะเป็นผ้าย้อม Indigo ที่เย็บด้วยเทคนิค Sashiko (เทคนิคเย็บแบบโบราณของญี่ปุ่น)

 

Indigo Discharge Fabric for a york part
The inner yoke is made of indigo-dyed cotton fabric, which then goes through a discharge dyeing process to form a special Momotaro X Indigoskin pattern.

Going To Battle Pocket with Exclusive fabric embroidery

The GTB back pocket is made of Vintage Twill embroidered with Momotaro X Indogoskin pattern using indigo-dyed thread. (In the photo is sample. So it’s show just paint, but in real product is embroidery)

กระเป๋าหลังด้านขวา จะเป็นผ้า Vintage Twill ที่นำไปปักลาย Momotaro X Indigoskin ด้วยด้ายย้อมสีอินดิโก้ แล้วนำมาเย็บเป็นลาย GTB ครับ(ในรูปยังเป็นสกรีนตัวอย่าง ของจริงจะเป็นการปักด้สยด้ายย้อมสีอินดิโก้)

ป้ายหนังวัวย้อมด้วยสีครามธรรมชาติโดย Rampuya หนึ่งในโรงย้อมครามที่ดีที่สุดในญี่ปุ่น ซึ่งในครั้งนี้เราได้ออกแบบลายของป้ายหนังใหม่ แล้วใส่ Logo ใหม่ของ Indigoskin ไปอีกด้วย
